Spiritforged Is Coming — Here’s What You Need to Know!
The Riftbound universe is about to get even bigger. Riot Games’ second League of Legends Trading Card Game expansion, Riftbound: Spiritforged, is set to launch globally in English on February 13, 2026 (after a December 2025 rollout in China). This highly anticipated follow-up to Origins brings massive new content and fresh ways to play.
New Champions & Expansive Roster
Spiritforged introduces over 200 new cards including 12 new Champion Legends — such as Ezreal, Draven, Irelia, Rumble, Lucian, Azir, Ornn, Renata Glasc, Rek’Sai, Fiora, Sivir, and Jax — giving players tons of strategic variety and long-term deckbuilding potential.
Fresh Mechanics to Shake Up the Meta
This expansion isn’t just about new faces — it adds three exciting mechanics that significantly change gameplay strategy:
-
Equipment: Attach gear to Units for powerful effects that persist even if the unit is defeated.
-
Gold: New token cards that let you “spend” resources for flexible power.
-
Repeat: Cast spells twice to amplify their impact.
These mechanics open up new tactical layers and synergistic deck designs that keep the competitive scene fresh and dynamic.
Enhanced Collectability & Premium Cards
Spiritforged also brings Overnumbered cards — special premium versions outside the standard numbering — with 30 total, including some Champion Units and Gear cards, giving collectors more chase cards than ever before.
